Every number in our "How we stack up" chart comes from a published Nutrition Facts panel. This page shows where each one came from and exactly how we did the math, so you can check it yourself.

Method
- Same serving for everyone. Candy brands use different serving sizes (19.8g to 50g). We scale every brand to 48g, the size of one GLiTCH bag, so the comparison is apples to apples.
- How we scale. Each value on a brand's label is multiplied by 48 divided by that label's serving size in grams. Grams are rounded to the nearest whole gram and calories to the nearest 5.
- Net carbs. Total carbohydrate minus dietary fiber. Net carbs is not an FDA-defined term; this is the definition we use.
- No artificial dyes. Based on each product's ingredient list. A product gets a "No" if it lists a certified synthetic color such as Red 40, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Blue 1, or Blue 2.
- Which label. We use the current label published by the brand, cross-checked against a major retailer listing. Scaling rounded label values can shift a number by about 1g.
